Memoir The new and improved Poly Optimist came into the school with a huge bang. With a new advisor, editor in chief and staff, the paper seemed hopeless to be read by the Poly Parrots. But it didnt stop the staff as they were with a new Indesign system, given an editor with a great gift of knowedge and a staff that hung together against all odds of controversy from a simple story gone wrong. The seniors left the paper with hopes that the underclassmen can set new standards of hard news and journalism. The new original Poly Optimist wasn't the Poly optimist with the Brazilian, Pedro Oliveira; the infamous "Rat Pack" of Robyn Bonaparte, Laura Velaquez, Natalie Lozano, Christy Montes; the Freshmen and Junior duos of Jose Perez and Daniel Jiminez, Adriana Alfaro and Randy White; and of course the seniors Deanna Guerrero, Liz Sangalang, Merilyn Ochoa, Massilie Penate, Jonathan Palacios and myself Raymond Suravech. This was the staff that set the standards for the future of Poly journalism. Of course we had our laughs and our hard times, but hey we were it. The hours that the tag team of myself and Pedro spent on the paper afterschool were uncountable and unforgetable. We wont forget the paper. I know I won't.
